The famous Savannah Pirates House is located at 20 East Broad Street near the very edge of the city's historic downtown district, and just 1 block south of East Bay Street.
Built around 1733, it is the oldest unchanged building in Savannah. The house at 122 East Oglethorpe Avenue may be the oldest house, but it was carefully dismantled, and then reassembled over a new brick foundation, which changed it to a 2-story house in the early 1800's.
