The Moon River Brewing Company is located at 21 West Bay Street in the downtown historic district of Savannah, just 1 block from the Savannah River. The current building was designed to be a fancy hotel, and was built in 1821 after the previous structure at that location had been destroyed by fire. It was it the first hotel in Savannah, and also housed the first branch of the United States Post Office in Savannah. Additionally, a branch of the Bank of the United States was located in the building.
