Forsyth Park is bordered by Gaston Street on the North, Park Avenue on the South, with Whitaker and Drayton Streets on the West and East, respectively. Forsyth Park, the largest park in the Historic District, contains 30 acres of pathways, playgrounds, and open fields, mostly shaded by magnificent old live oaks and magnolias, with azaleas everywhere. The park is home to a fabulous 19th-century fountain of trumpeting mermen and spouting swans. Forsyth Park is considered the crown jewel of Savannah.
